2012.09.03 / Good Key, Bad Key

An introductory project within the Max MSP programming environment. Intended to be relatively easy from a technical standpoint, and also give students creative control over the interactive process. The assignment is to create a 'hunt-and-peck' keyboard game, where all but one key on the keyboard produce one sound, and a single key produces another sound.

Aspects of the assignment include:

  • - Sensing the key presses;
  • - Selecting the "good" key;
  • - Playing sound files.
  • These files require the MaxMSP Runtime Environment. Download the MaxMSP runtime application here.
